Competitive pay2024 full-time wage schedules are coming soon! Previous experience, military time, etc., are considered for initial placement on the pay scale. Increments are earned every six months until reaching the maximum pay step. You will also receive comprehensive training at your full starting salary. At top pay, our Road Patrol Deputies can earn up to $83,301 when including holiday pay, hazard pay and uniform allowance!

Uniform allowanceAs a Macomb County law enforcer, you represent Macomb County, so we offer an annual uniform allowance, ranging from $420 - $875, and dry cleaning/laundry service to keep you looking sharp.
Work/Life balanceOur new deputies, corrections deputies, and dispatchers can all earn up to 42 days off per year! Specifically earning 15 paid time off days, 14 ½ paid holidays (15 ½ in a general election year), and 12 sick leave days. After five years of service, you will earn an additional five paid time off days.
